Jannu’s POV:
It’s been a week since Bathukamma ended, and everyone is busy with work. These days, Bava has been even busier managing the company because we have important meetings with foreign clients. Today, he mentioned that his secretary is coming to our house to discuss the meetings.
Her name is Tara—a total villain-face. Bava isn’t able to attend the company right now because of some pending work in the village. I don’t think she knows about me. On the day of my interview, she spoke to me rudely—not just me, but everyone. She behaves like she’s the boss. I never tell Bava about her because if I do, he would definitely make her life miserable. I don’t want that, so I stay silent.
But today is my time. She’s in my house, and if she tries to oversmart me, I know exactly what to do. I won’t let her get away this time.
I’m in my room, working, while Bava and his secretary are in the home office. Suddenly, someone knocks on my door.
It’s Athaya.
“What happened, Athaya?” I ask.
She smiles. “Nothing… just give this coffee to Rudra.”
I nod and take it. Bava needs coffee to refresh his brain. I carry the cup and head toward his office. I open the door without knocking because I know I don’t need anyone’s permission to enter his space...something some people clearly haven’t learned yet.
The moment I step in and say, “Bava, here...” someone raises their voice at me.
It’s none other than Miss Tara. I smirk internally. Wrong move, girl.
“Don’t you have manners? Knock before entering!” she shouts.
Just then, I hear another voice...the one and only Rudra Pratap, my lovely Bava. My eyes bless this scene.
“Mind your tongue when you talk to her, got it? Otherwise, you know what I’m capable of.”
She nods silently.
He shouts again, “Answer me, damn it!”
This time, she flinches and says, “Yes, sir.”
I want to laugh at her face. Seeing her reaction is priceless. After all, I’m Bava’s good girl, you know.
Suddenly, Bava calls, “Jannu, ittu ra.”
[ Jannu come here]
I go to him and hand him the coffee. His features soften as he looks at me. I know someone is burning with jealousy right now, but I don’t care
Then she asks, “Wait… I’ve seen you somewhere… you’re working in our company, right?”
Before I can answer, Bava says, “Yes, she works in her own company. Do you have any problem, Miss?”
She immediately says no. Bava tells me to go, and I head back to my room.
Time skip
It’s lunch, and everyone is already in the dining hall. I descend the stairs, but one thing catches my eye..mthat bitch Tara, sitting right beside Bava. My blood boils. Why the heck is she even sitting there? She’s got some nerve.
Jealousy bubbles inside me. I know Bava doesn’t care about her, but I can’t control how I feel. I decide it’s time to teach her a lesson..mand show off my acting skills.
I start screaming, holding my hand, “Ah… it’s paining! Ah!”
Bava comes running immediately, and everyone surrounds me.
“What happened, Jannu?” he asks, worry in his voice.
“I don’t know, Bava… my hand… it started hurting suddenly.”
He calls the maid and asks for an ice pack. He makes me sit on a chair, kneels down, and starts applying it to my hand. Tara looks at him like he’s an alien. She never expected Bava to be so gentle with anyone, especially not her. She’s shocked to see him kneeling in front of me, showing his soft side.
I smirk internally, but looking at Bava, I feel a little bad because he’s genuinely worried.
“Bava, it’s okay… the pain has lessened,” I say.
He cups my face. “Are you sure, Jannu?”
I nod. He stands up and orders everyone to start eating.
"Hey guys, I finally posted an update here...
To be honest, I’m thinking about taking this page down. I’m not getting any votes or comments, and it’s starting to feel like a waste of time to keep updating. It is really frustrating to put effort into this when nobody seems to be reading. I created this page because many of you specifically asked for it, but the response here has been zero. Because of that, I don't think I'll be able to update here anymore.
If you actually want me to continue, please leave a comment and let me know. Otherwise, I'm closing it down."
