Sitara’s POV:
I recently moved to Hyderabad to pursue my BTech. From tomorrow, my college life officially begins. Knowing very well how dangerous my sleep habits are, I decided to sleep early....hoping I’d wake up on time.
Honestly, if there were a sleeping competition, I’d win first place without even trying. My mom scolds me daily because of it.
Oh! I forgot to introduce myself.
My name is Sitara Gattammaneni.
I come from a middle-class family. My father is a school teacher, my mother is a homemaker, and my elder brother works in an IT company. As for me… I sleep a lot, eat a lot, and talk a lot.
Sometimes people shut me up when I’m talking. It hurts, but I never reply back. I guess I’m not brave enough to stand up for myself...at least not yet.
I don’t know what the future holds for me. But one good thing is, my best friend Manasa is with me. We’ve been best friends since childhood, and luckily, we got seats in the same college. Both of us are pursuing CSE.
Okay, it’s time for my beauty sleep now.
I’ll talk to you guys in the morning.
Prithvi’s POV:
Hello guys, my name is Prithvi.
I’m a second-year student, living in my own apartment with my friends. My father is the CEO of Murthy Group of Companies, my mother runs an NGO, my sister is in Inter first year, and my brother is in Inter second year.
I have only two best friends in my entire life...and now, all three of us are studying in the same college.
Currently, I’m working on a project that’s supposed to be submitted tomorrow. I’m a smart student, but yeah… I can be rude. Teachers are often offended by my attitude, but they can’t really do much about it...after all, my father is a well-known personality.
Okay guys, bye.
We’ll talk tomorrow.
Author’s POV
In Sitara’s room, the alarm rang loudly, cruelly disturbing her precious sleep.
Groaning, she dragged herself out of bed and walked into the washroom. After getting ready in a simple pair of jeans and a T-shirt, she stepped out with her best friend Manasa.
Together, they headed towards the mess for breakfast....unaware that today was about to change their lives forever.
They quickly finished their breakfast and hurried towards the college, excitement and nervousness bubbling inside them.
On the Other Side
Prithvi woke up early and headed to the gym with his best friends. After an intense workout, they returned to the apartment and prepared a healthy salad for themselves. Once done eating, they left for college...calm, confident, and completely in control.
In College ...Sitara’s POV:
As soon as we stepped into the college, my eyes widened. It was a huge university...so big that finding my classroom felt like solving a puzzle.
Manasa and I belonged to the same branch, but unfortunately, we were allotted different sections. She found her classroom first, hugged me tight, wished me luck, and waved goodbye before walking away.
I stood there alone, holding my bag tightly, trying to figure out my way....unaware that this day was about to introduce me to someone unforgettable.
I was still searching for my classroom when I suddenly bumped into someone. I almost lost my balance, but before I could fall, I looked up at him.
And in that moment…
the world around me stopped.
Everything went silent...no noise, no crowd, no rush. Just him.
My heart whispered softly, “He is the one.”
The moment my eyes met his, I forgot how to breathe.
I forgot how to blink.
He was… dangerously handsome.
I didn’t know what was happening to me. All I knew was that I wanted to be closer to him. Without realizing it, I kept staring....lost in my own little world.
Until he snapped his fingers right in front of my face.
Prithvi’s POV:
I was already in a hurry, and just my luck.....someone bumped straight into me. My anger shot up instantly, and I was ready to lash out.
But then I looked at her.
She was staring at me....completely lost, almost oogling. I rolled my eyes. Nothing new. People always look at me like that. Everyone wants to be in my arms....because of my money, my name.
She looked innocent, though.
But I don’t fall for innocent faces. I know these lowclass people....they pretend to be pure just to get a place in my world.
Snapping my fingers in front of her face, I said coldly,
“Hey, are you blind?”
Sitara’s POV:
“I-I’m sorry, sir,” I said quickly. “I was in a hurry… I’m really sorry.”
Prithvi’s POV
“Next time, keep your eyes straight,” I said curtly.
She nodded silently and walked away in the opposite direction.
Sitara’s POV:
He is very rude.
But what can I do?
I fell for him at first sight....and now, there’s no turning back.

I pushed those thoughts aside and walked into my classroom. Everyone was busy with their own conversations, laughter filling the room.
Without drawing attention to myself, I quietly took a seat in the middle row.
Suddenly, someone came and sat beside me.

Pooja: “Hi… are you new here?”
Sitara: “Yeah!” I smiled softly. “Everything feels so different here.”
Pooja: “Hmm… I’m new too. But my brother studies here....he’s in second year....so it’s a little easier for me.”
Sitara: “Oh…” I hesitated for a second before gathering courage. “If you don’t mind… can we be friends? My best friend got a seat in the same college, but she’s in a different section.”
I held out my hand, a little nervous.
Pooja: “Of course....friends,” she said, shaking my hand warmly. “I’m really excited to meet your best friend.”
Sitara: I smiled wider. “You’ll love her. She totally matches your energy. I’m sure the three of us will be the best trio in college.”
And just like that, my college life began.
L
et’s see what the future holds for me.
